2.2 cdi engine

it's a long story but can anyone tell me if the 2.2 cdi engine as found in vito, v class, c class and e is the same in various levels of tune. i think it is, if so i could swing a court case this week. please only advise if you are 100% thanks in advance.
does this engine have name, like a code or type?

In a C Class :

611.962, 611.963 or a 646.963

In an E Class :

646.821, 646.961

In a V Class / Commercial :

611.980

Plus many others, it's been around for a while now.

I think you're in the same league as claiming an Audi S8 has a Gallardo engine in it TBH. It's all based around the same idea.

Do you just mean the basic engine itself?

I know you said only post if you're 100% but I believe the turbo's are different geometry.
