Guys crept over from BMW siteshooti know , i know.

Right this is my question.I really like my 6mth old 120d auto, its brilliant in every respect apart from the fact its a hard ride.Apparently the newer runflats which i run are far easier ride wise than before but still hard.

I like the idea of moving up to year old c 320cdi i imagine the ride is great ,but is it? Im sure i read somewhere in a review that the ride of the new c series isnt that good over our potholed roads ,a bit crashy.Have to say top gear website review doesnt think much of the engine.

Before i put myself out with a testdrive ,thought id get your opinions ,thanks for any input.

I assume you are talking about the new W204? The Sport has a great ride IMHO, although I personally prefer it without the Advanced Agility Package - the Sport button....

The engine has always impressed me as well - particularly with a Brabus chip...

Hi chauch yep thats the beast. Oh yes the brabus chip great thing about that is, it keeps the warrenty. Ive got a tuning box on which is actually fitted by merc dealers abroad but ive put my warrenty in jeopardy by putting it on, silly really.

As well as the power increase, I get significantly better fuel economy. Currently I have the chip on my CLS320CDI and get over 40mpg on pretty much every run, and 30+ even when on it cross country.

I made the switch from 120d auto to C220 (W203). The difference in ride is startling, the Merc is intelligently set up to actually absorb bumps, whilst the BMW used to magnify surface imperfections.

Tuxman - any of the main dealers should be able to help you and keep it in warranty.....
