Just acquired a 2006 SL55 with the performance pack and was wondering what the consensus was on tuning companies? From my brief investigation Carlsson/Brabus etc. quote around 550bhp for the ECU/Supercharger pulley mods. The car has 517bhp as standard and this
seems a fairly modest gain for the outlay.

Any advice welcome.

JC,

Hope you're well matey!

As mentioned, Rob from DMS is very good, he's done a couple for me over the years in addition to reprogramming the ABC suspension module.

Ray West is also well respected but have not used him personally!

D.M.S. worked their magic on my SL55 earlier this year. A larger crankshaft pulley was fitted , the necessary software

downloaded. De-restriction followed , allowing me , should I feel the need , to surpass 200 m. p.h.

To finish , the suspension altered to allow a lower ride height but still retaining three different adjustments.

I have no regrets , a wholly worthwhile experience.

F***k me a wild man yikes!!! It`s quick , add a touch of left foot braking . point the thing where you want go and press hard

on the throttle ,......you will not be disappointed laugh

E.T.A I informed my broker re: modifications , no loading on the premium whatsoever.
