Yep - Check the roof works properly. Do all the normal checks and then check the roof work properly! They are not unreliable just bloody expensive to fix when they do go wrong.
I've had mine since March and love it. They are not very quick and more cruiser than blaster but thats why I like it. (and the wife will even come out in it)
Also. Whatch for uneven tyre wear and suspension wear. There is some scuttle shake but not excessive. I'm not aware of any major known engine gremmlins and the auto box should give no dramas, they do like a fluid change at about 80k though. I have a small niggle with the climate control at the moment which is proving awkward to pin down.
Panaramic is a nice touch to have, mine is a '99 and even came with a sat nav system. It is rather an old clonky system though. Make sure the wind deflector is present and the hard top stand is very useful.
Check all the gadgets work properly and do check that roof! Oh and the plastic windows in the roof can slit so check them for leaks too.
