Looking for a Merc Specialist for in North Staffs/South Ches

I'm Looking for a Merc Specialist in the North Staffs or South Cheshire area.

I’m Looking for options other than main dealer to sort out some niggles on the wife’s SL55 AMG mainly electronics.

Eg: Try to move the seat backwards & it moves forward! Those sort of things.

Any body know of one in the North Staffs or South Cheshire area than can be trusted? And won’t stiff you on costs!

Either Bob Lewis at RG Lewis in Tattenhall 01829 782663 or try Simon on 01948663333 in Whitchurch. He had an SL55 in the other day and fixed the supercharge pump (?) and in my experience has dealt with things quickly and cheaply, albeit my older SL500 is simpler.

Well, despite my offer to save her indoors some hard earned…. She took it into the main dealer! Anyway, it needs new discs & pads at the front & personally I think £595 is taking the **** (even I can manage to do that job!) So, after a while on google all I can find is non drilled front discs & the dealer is quoting £400 just for the parts, now call me lazy, but I give up trying to find genuine parts at a discount!

Any contacts you can point me to for parts guys & girls?

Brakes International in Rochdale would be my first point of call - I've never yet had them fail to supply me a brake part for anything, ever.

Failing that Euro Car Parts (branches all over the place).

Brakes International's site is particularly good. I'm not sure if I did Mrs Orb(s) C220CDi discs and pads last time round or just pads. Got them from there anyway.

Example of Brakes International pricing...

A few years ago Mrs Orb(s) had a 3.0 V6 406 Coupe with these big Brembo (or "bimbo" as she called them ) brakes. Pug wanted something ludicrous like 230 quid each for the discs. Got them from Brakes Int for 39 each - proper Brembo ones in a posh Brembo box and everything. Bargain!
