I think that the SL55 AMG is suffering from a intercooler pump problem, I have power but after a couple of mins of giving it large the power is throttled off to 2ltr sierra power for a minute or so before power again.

Internet trawling I have read about this intercooler problem, am I right ?

Is there a good independent guy who can swap it at not MB dealer rates in the home counties/ London

The pump on my E55 went with the same symptons, the local main dealer told me befoe they looked at it that it would be either the electric water pump or the pump relay.

Cheers Tony Autoclass was a top recommendation, they were very good, turns out to be the suspected intercooler pump, Autoclass were told by Mercedes Benz that they had replaced 400 pumps this year
