E220cdi 2008 - purchase now or wait?
Discussion
So I've been looking at E220cdi's for the last couple of months, and watched their price drop into my budget range.
I've been offered the following from a MB dealer, which fits all my requirements:
E220cdi 2008 (registered in March 08 ) demonstrator saloon car
Avantgarde
Parktronic
10000miles
full leather
at £20.500 (down from £21.990)
Do you think it's a good deal? Or should I wait for another month or two? Do you expect prices to continue falling significantly, especially with the announcement of the new model?
Thanks!

I would contract hire one at the moment, even with the £10k discounts were are seeing you will not get one cheaper, even if paying cash!

Some even better deals coming on Jan 5th when Mercedes offer the next round of discounts!

I should add, I got a quote from Lombard on an E220cdi for someone the other day, based on a brand new car at £21k, they match the residuals set by Mercedes and at 2 years old they were say it would be worth £10200 and at 3 years old £8200.
This meant that even with an apr at 6.8% and a £1500 deposit it was £375 a month over 3 years and £445 a month over 2 years.
The depreciation if paying cash would be £365 a month over 2 years, so buying makes no sense at all at the moment.

However in the auctions they are making well behind this.
By Feb you will buy the same car for £18950 retail, or maybe £16000 at auction.
Mark.
