As the S class has air suspension and has the option to raise and lower the suspenson with a switch on the dash (mine only has the switch to raise it) is it possible to lower the suspension by say 30mm with a remap or something? I am fitting 19in AMG wheels and think it would look much better with the wheel arches full!

Hey there,

If it's the new S class you're talking about (the w221), it is possible to get it lowered by taking it to your merc dealer and them remapping it, but I don't know how much they will charge. Supposedly it takes about 30mins so maybe an hour of labour?

Otherwise; you can get a lowering module (plug and play for the most part) which is very easy to install. You get different types (ie Brabus/Kleeman/Renntech etc...) but they all do the same job. These are about a thousand quid though. The Brabus module is sold through merc dealers.

I've replaced my 19inch AMG wheels with some 21 inch wheels on my new S class, and also think it could do with some lowering; so not quite sure which option I am going to take.
