SRS & AIRBAG OFF Lit in dash and centre consul, need advice

Hi, just bought a w210 E Class 220 cdi estate.The SRS light is lit in the dash and the yellow Airbag off light on the centre consul. Can anyone offer advice to sort it.The previous owner said it came on after valeting, apperntly moisture in the seatbelt holder or something like that.Mercedes want 70pounds plus vat just to look at it .Maybe theres something I could do first before going to them.

I wonder if the valet company got water in the part of the seat that detects whether a passenger is sat in it or not ....

Try disconnecting the battery

hi, try looking in your handbook .. the yellow light in the dash (airbag) is an option when there is a child seat in the front... not sure if that puts any light on your question... Also does the W210 share a fuse for these two components?.
