1998 E320 Avantgarde

Hi,
A second posting on the site after I was looking at a 320 CE that did not come off. I have been offered an E320 Avantgarde, 115k, FSH, black leather interior, etc on a 98 plate for 1600. I have not been able to see the car in the flesh yet and, because I have just left the UK for another month, will not be able to. However, a mate of mine will swing over if it is worth a look. Is this too low/high for this car and is there anything to look for - the last post for the 320 CE was very comprehensive but I know it is a different model so there will be some differences. I know rust is a big one but what about the gearbox? I will be doing 100 miles a day on the motorway so it should have an easy life.
I will see if I can get some pictures or link from ebay on so you can all see the car.
