Dropped my CL55K AMG in today to confirm the intercooler pump had failed.
Great service, friendly staff, great price on replacement.

It's nice to have someone local that I feel I can trust with the car.

A friend of mine gets both of his MB's sorted by Robin Lamb. He swears by them. They are always friendly and helpful and good on price. Extremely knowledgeable as well.

Good shout.

Interesting never heard of them - where are they? Any good on old models? Was going to get fuel pressure test done on my 1990 at Gibb garage near Castle combe (the one with all the abandoned Mercs outside..). Chap was very friendly.

They are on the Bristol Road and I think they have taken over a space that used to be owned by a Citroen Dealer.

Map here
The map doesn't show it well, but they are opposite Alma Terrace a little way before JDR Karting as you head towards the town center.

Re: older cars - yes - I've seen some real classic model in there - not entirely sure what years/models but there was one my dad commented on saying it was a new model when he was in his teens (so we're talking about 50 years old minimum)

Does Robin Lamb sell cars too? Does he have a website?

I don't think he sells - might be wrong though - he did mention he's getting a website sorted at the moment though.

Ah, thanks a lot. Do you know of any other Merc dealers in the Gloucester area? I hear there's an SL60 for sale somewhere there but don't know which dealer.

There is one in Cheltenham - called MB&B I think. Other than that all I know is the big boys (county mercedes benz, merc benz of cheltenham and gloucester) - the only other place I've seen one of sale is in Stroud, clicky. (Tellur silver is nice)

I have been using Robin to look after my E55 for the last 5 years. He and his team do a great job and offer excellent value for money compared to main dealer pricing. He occasionally has cars for sale but often they are on behalf of customers. Robin used to be the Service Director of the old Gloucester Merc dealership before the Mercedes reshuffle and set up the business to service private clients who he thought were getting second class service from the new main dealer compared to the corporate fleet accounts. I can thoroughly recommend him.
