Hi there, pretty much a stranger posting here in the Mercedes Forum (I do alot of browsing though, especially reading the faults about the AMG cars :P) basically I have been doing some research into remapping my CLS320 CDI, I have come across various companies offering simular services, however the price varies hugely between £350 & £699, even though quoted figures are nearly identical.

However, I contacted a Superchips main "dealer" situated in Cardiff and he claims for £435 I can get a 37bhp & 52 lb/ft gain on my car. This seems pretty standard, however, in the email he mentions a stage 2 from a company names "response", he goes onto explain that this stage 2 can give me an extra 10-15% power lift ontop of the original 37bhp gain.

Now if my sums are correct the figures are between 287 & 296bhp, then between 495 & 518lb/ft of torque? All for £637.50 incl VAT. I find this very attractive, but the figures a little to good to be true??

Whats your opineons/experiences on the matter? Who/what would you recommend?

Thanks PH'ers!

Out of interest have you looked at the Brabus offering. It is the only one supported (and supplied) by Mercedes Benz UK and so doesn't affect the warranty .... I have it on the 320CDI in my GL. I've also driven an E-class estate (my tame service manager's old car) with the same kit on and it was certainly no slouch!

Apologies if i'm wrong ,i thought the brabus remap made the warranty 60000 miles instead of unlimited?I do think i'm right though.

I was told that it does not affect the warranty in anyway, compared to the regular one that came with the car. I'll do some digging on that one ...
