I got a very nice stainless steel eggzorst made by MIJ performance in Walsall for my old SLK230 - perhaps too far for you though.

It was 325 quid - made a big difference to my mpg (in a good way), looked good and sounded nice (although they had to do it twice as the first pipe was unbelievably loud).
