I'm thinking of buying a Mercedes SL500, R129. What are the differences between the early ones and the facelift ones?
Also I remember sitting in one ages ago and it being a touch cramped inside as I am rather tall. Perhaps the seat could have gone back a touch. Are the facelift models the same on the inside as the early models?
Are the any particular weak spots I should be looking for on an SL500?

If you do even the most cursory research on this or any Mercedes forum you will find copious quantities of the information you require.
However, the overriding factor when chosing any 129 almost 8years since the last one was built and 20years since the first is condition.
