Anyone in Scotland got an E55?

Hi all,

We're trying to put together a group test of big saloons for Practical Performance Car magazine, and we're missing an E55 AMG (W210 shape) - XJR, B10, M5 and S8 already sourced.

The event will be at South Queensferry (nr Edinburgh), so if you've got an AMG and can make it along please shout.

There'll be a professional photographer and detailer, so your car'll get the once over you'll get a nice set of solo and group photos. We'll probably be able to russle up some bacon sardies on exes too.

Ed at the mag is already dealing with the MB specialist forums, but this last car is proving elusive.

Daz - no it's the 354bhp supercharged 5.4 we're after (i.e. not the newer 500bhp one)

I think they are the same 5.4 engine but the later w211 had a super charger. The new 6.3 is I belive a completly new engine.

Yes the 5.4 was a Mercedes Engine that was sent to AMG and breathed upon by them The 63 was built and designed by Amg,great engine the 63,had the Clk 55 before my C63,huge differance between them
