i think the performance pack is a must have, have had both cars one with p-pack and without and thought the grip with p-pack is great.
saloon or estate realy depends on if you need a estate,

i would say that the saloon looks a lot better but thats just me.
great car fantastic choice.

forgot 2 mention the dash you can order a leather stithed dash from amg at a cost of 3900 euro plus taxes.

i wanted white with red leather in my next c63 and they wanted 5900 euro plus tax for the leather so all in all about 10.000 pounds uk with the dash i think that is just crazy money so i left it.

Thanks for that... the saloon does look better because the estate looks a bit more like just a sport spec cooking model, but it is a lot rare and plus you fit a bike in it smile I love em both anyway! So the perf pack is a proper LSD, and what else? Are the leather and interior options you mention all from the designo range or whatever its called? The normal options seem very sedate really, consider it is such a mental car. I won't be getting one of these too soon, as I have some cars to sell first!

the leather comes from the performance studio;haute couture. i think its called designio manufaktur program.

i think the car must have 19inch wheels, harmon kardon sound system, parktronic, command.

the carbon fibre inside is nice but quite expensive at 1500.

Ah designo it is then... anything with designo is stupidly expensive.

merc website is toss... i am trying to find out what the drivers pack is...

Anyway, I think my order sheet will be estate in fire opal (i.e. flat red), perf pack, 19" wheels, AMG floormats (of course), reversing camera instead of parktronic, HK stereo, ipod interface, lingua and telephone pre-wire

I don't like comand smile

Merc are keen to throw support behind models from time to time... my E-class was discounted by £12k brought about by a £10k dealer trading bonus (semi-secret)... any chance of them doing this sort of thing with AMG models or is there no chance?

Don’t forget the Parktronic isn’t just for reversing, the sensors are fitted on the front bumper too, also the Command on the C Class is pretty good by Merc Standards. Probably quite different to the E-Class version if that is what you are comparing it too?

Re the Dealer discount i think 12k might be a bit optimistic but i am sure if you find the right dealer looking to get there sales target you could do well, although the majority of dealer support seems to be going into Finance Packages, low rates and good residual values

The other problem may be if Merc have scaled down production? in which case they won’t be that desperate to sell the cars especially a AMG model.

AmgMaster how long in advance are you ordering your cars?
Have you managed to get a good resale on your old cars?

Yea I had parktronic on the E. It used to drive me nuts esp when people cross the road in front of you when waiting at the lights! As far as Comand goes, I think I would only get it if it was a 'must have' option. I have never really liked it, and I do begrudge spending thousand on already out-of-date sat nav when new tomtoms are less than a hundred quid. I know Comand has more to it, but that's the main bit.

On the willingness to discount thing, I think a bigger factor than production output is the fact that AMG is very niche and high value compared to mainstream merc, and probably very different rules apply. They buyers are not going to be won over by discounts as they clearly are in the market for an expensive car already if they can afford to run one, and the absolute number of buyers will be low regardless. If I was Merc, I wouldn't discount em!

So do you guys trade them then?

i got 46500 for my silver c63 with 14000 miles on it last year when i traded it for a white 1.

im going 2 see my dealer on monday 2 see when my next one will be available but it normaly takes about 8-10 weeks to be built.

are you going to change yours soon 2shan?

prices on the c63 seem to have firmed up very well considering the prices last year.

Not changing mine for the moment, only just done 4500 miles but had a look at the new E-Class Coupe the other day very nice, would be nice to see what the AMG will look like.

Apparently there was one at the official launch but it was just a mock up compared to the Saloon real version.

What spec you going for on your next one?

that's a bit of news for me that you can spec the dash in leather! I was looking at a C63 a few months back and asked the dealer if it was possible to get the dash in leather and he said no. Actually said no to a lot of things so i decided against getting one as it looked too similar to a C180 internally. Otherwise was just about convinced i was going to get it as i really loved the whole feel of the car. Gone for a Maser now...happy so far!

Hi guys, I've been looking to buy a RS4 Avant, but now having second thoughts and I'm considering C63amg as well.

Just a couple of questions,do you think estate would hold its value much better than saloon? What's the servicing cost?

Not sure about values, I understand there are more Saloons than Estates on the road so for me (!) hopefully the Estate will retain more value. Had the 1st service done last Friday, 12 months old 9K miles no problems, cost exactly £260.00. Regards, Rob

Thanks Rob, it'll be an estate if I do decide on one. Problem is there's no new stock in the country. Not sure I could wait till September!!!

was going for another white 1 but with the performance pack.
i also test drove the new e350cdi saloon in white which i thought was fantastic and my dealer tells me i can order a new e63amg saloon for september delivery which i think will look realy nice in the flesh.
not sure if i should go for white with a pan roof or play safe and go for black with pan roof, still waiting to find out how much it will be before i decide.

the coupe looks stunning but have been told they wont be making a e63amg coupe,
even the saloon version was a model made of clay at the launch.

Will be a real shame if they dont make the AMG Coupe, i think they look lovely.

As for the Saloon i didnt really look at them properly but i guess White with the Pano roof will look good, then again you cant go wrong with Black
