Shock absorbers and steering rack E55 AMG

Does anyone have advice regarding purchase of new/recon shocks and steering rack?

1 shock at front and 1 at rear leaking and so change all round. MRRP £2,500 incl VAT (car has airmatic)

Steering rack leaking and so needs to be changed apparantly. MRRP £1800 plus VAT

Plus fitting costs.

Quite a chunk for a 52,000 mile car........

Any thoughts advice welcome.

Sorry to hear that. I read your post on mbworld you will get the best advice on that forum as them guys know alot. I get all the info for my e55 off them.

How old is the car? Does it have full MB history? MB might be willing to contribute something if so.. If not i might be able to work you out a better deal on the parts..

The car is 2004 FMBSH and so I am guessing MB will not want to play ball. I have asked..................
