hi new to this forum would like to buy a sl 320 any help

Hi just sold my TVR and Landrover 90 and need a new toy,we have been shooting off the to France alot and want a sports car thats going to get us there and back and have a bit of fun on the smaller roads,I think a R129 SL320 is just the job to do this.What I would like help with is there a club or sunday type drive out in the Essex area,when we had the TVR it was the 2nd sunday of the month,all out for drive and lunch,I'm near Chelmsford.Any points on R129 facelift ownership would be helpfull plus where to get it servced,there was a fellow in Billericay I heard?
