SLK32AMG value?
Discussion
I am toying with the idea of getting an SL55 AMG and before i contact any garages would like to know how much i could expect to get as a trade in for my SLK32AMG, 2002, 57k. Does anyone have any ideas on this please. Also i am toying with the idea of keeping said motor so if value is daft i will keep cos i love it!

Hey, I am after an SL55 AMG and will be keeping my SLK32 AMG...... are you me?
Good look with the hunt for an SL55 prices seem to be from 25K upwards at the moment with a limited colour choice mainly black and silver.
Mine has just hit 60k miles. I have had all the wings resprayed under warranty and also got the bonnet done. Was looking at an SLK 55 but even the cheapest is 25-27k for no better performance
I paid 15.5k for mine 18 months ago- its probably now worth 10k as a trade in maybe 11.5k max as a private sale.Given that it looks like a new car after its respray and its neraing the bottom of the depreciation curve i think i'll keep it and put the money i've saven not buying another car towards the servicing costs
Each time I take another car out for a test drive and then get back in the SLK i realise what a great little all round car it is. At the time a lot of journos were comparing it with the Z3M but its a completely different car- perhaps thats why the write ups were not that great
still as far as I am concerned it offers me all I need- and is great fun when you can embarrass the owners of a few genuine supercars in what is widely perceived to be a hairdressers car!!

Well, I've just driven 750 miles in mine in 2 days - mostly on German autobahns.
It's a 2003 with about 33K miles; I've no idea what the spiv in the camel coat with his greasy copy of Glasses Guide might think it's worth, but to my mind, being one of only 27 sold in the UK that year, it's priceless!
I didn't find a safe enough stretch of autobahn to cruise along at more than 180 kph - shall try harder on the way home.
After coming out of a 60 kph "Ve are resurfacing der road" section, clicking 'resume' and feeling the relentless surge of power as the car accelerates back up to 180 kph is....rather nice.

I've often considered trading my clk in against a 32. What's the ride quality like on these?
It is firm but not bone shaking. I have a mini JCW and an ML. The ML is smooth as silk along the road the mini is hard as nails with the runflats and the SLK sits in between the two.Ditch the CLK and come over to the 32 party if you can find one.
