Thinking of buying a e320cdi avant 2002 ?

Hi guys, as the title says thinking about buying a 2002 320cdi estate just a everyday runaround. The one in question has a 161k miles on it with full service history and is immaculate. What are the running costs on these cars like and what kind of fuel consumption can i expect to get ?

I had one and even with 50k on and at 3yrs old it was a leaking rust bucket with crummy electrics and engine problems. Fuel economy was fine but lots else wasnt. 2002 is the darkest year in MB reliability.

it was in early 2003 that MB started galvanising, depending on how long you want to keep the car I would suggest waiting and getting a 2003 model as they fall in price.
