Hi Guys/Gals,

Has anyone had any experience of changing the viscous fan coupling on one of these cars?

I've got a 1997 C180 Esprit, fan appears to be be knackered, I have a replacement viscous fan coupling, but need a tool to lock the pulley. Is there a tool out there that I can buy that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Haynes manual suggests bodging up a homemade tool, OK if you have a source of scrap steel! Has anybody done this before? If so, how did you get on?

Thanks in advance - Dave...

I can let you have the work sheets for changing the visco.

The rad fans are more to do with the air con and only run when the air con is in use
