EBC RedStuff pads to fit a SL55 AMG?

How can l find out what shape or the correct EBC part numbers are for replacement RedStuff pads for my SL55 AMG?

The problem is that l have the F1 Performance Package with bigger rotors (390mm) and the l don't think the 'standard' EBC RedStuff pads, with the code DP31486C, will fit.

EBC say if l can provide an outline/drawing of the pads in my car they should be able to identify them and supply them. ls there a MB website which would provide the required details?

The standard SL55 pads look like these:

.....but as l say, l don't think they will fit the brakes fitted with the FI Pack.

I have a similar problem looming as my fronts are wearing thin. Did you get an answer on any 3rd party pads?

Assuming you mean you also have the F1 Pack with bigger brakes then no; it seems like genuine MB pads are the only option.

lf you have a standard SL55 AMG then you can easily get hold of EBC RedStuff pads with the p/no. previously mentioned.

l am currently "negotiating" with MB about my squealing brakes as they did this from the moment l collected the car.

lf you learn any more about aftermarket pads perhaps you could post it up.

Sorry I should have been more precise. Yes I have the performance pack and hence the larger discs and pads. I assumed that only MB would supply them but wondered if you had any luck. Do you know what the cost of the pads were from MB?

I had my rears done when I bought the car just over a year ago and they always squeal at very low speeds. Not been able to get them sorted so am just living with it.

U cant believe they are bespoke. Get the pad out and measure it and go onto the various brake pad manufaturers sites (like AP, EBC) and look for a fit. Its very rare to find a pad that is not used by another application.

Why change to EBC pads? I don't know many people that rate them, unlike Pagid.

You have the same braking system as I have in an SL65 and it works well with good feel, so think carefully before changing to non OE.
