Hi guys anyone any feedback on this one.Thinking of an Alpina D3 bi turbo. Came across this.Gets good reviews apart from a very diesely clattery sounding engine.TBO i'd have the Alpina tomorrow but they are basic specced,(manual air con!!)Thanks in advance.

It is a fast car ! Had a run-in with one a few weeks ago I did "walk away" from him though.

word of caution on the C250CDI, it has the 651 engine same as the new C220CDI with all the faults on it.
Mercedes have stopped production until March/April until the can sort the injestor problem out.

I ae been told there having big problems with the piston mnaufacturer, which have now gone bust. hence halting production.

I think the problem is with the injectors on this model.

It is a great car, I wouldn't let the injector issue put you off. However if you do get one dont but a cheap fuel boosting tuning box on it... all they do is up the common rail pressure which promptly knackers the injectors... would hate to think how many cars get the cheap box removed then roll up at the dealers for warranty.


Personally I love mine. It is about as smooth as a 4 pot can be... most of those who say it is loud are comparing it to 6 cyl diesels.
