I am seeking advice please.
I have water coming into the front passenger footwell - near the front near side wing - it then tracks under the passenger seat and saturates the rear near-side passenger carpet. During it's journey the water enters the front seats' heater unit - thus rendering it useless.
Has anyone else experienced this difficulty with their 420 SEC and have you been able to cure it?

I had a similar thing happen to my 124 Coupe, although both front and rear n/s carpets were drenched.
It turned out to be a blocked drainage hole in the sill. So the sill filled up with water and over spilled into the interior.
Ever since I always have my drainage points checked when it goes in for a service or MOT smile

It does sound like a blocked drain hole. Possibly the sunroof: if the drains are blocked there, the water will run into the roof trim, down the A pillar and into the footwell.

Thanks for your helpful replies.
Can you tell me where the drainholes are located in that area of the car - I will then instruct my garage to clear them when my car goes in for MOT in two weeks time.
