W220 Headlights
Discussion
A friend of mine bought a 2001 w220 about 12 months ago.
He has just taken it in for an MOT and it failed on headlight alignment. The lights had been updated to the newer 2002-on Face Lift units by the last owner but it looks like this was a bodge job. The units are European spec and are aligned the wrong way (shine into oncoming traffic). Not sure how it passed the last MOT - probably not checked properly. There is no lateral adjustment on the units so they can't be flicked over. The covers are the clear perspex type.
Any ideas what can be done about this ?
a) Get new units - have found a few places on the web
b) is it possible to get new lenses that mask of the beam.
Any help appreciated as I do not know much about Mercs being a TVR man myself.

Thanks for that but the garage had already thought of this.
Unfortunately they have all clear perspex lenses so there is nothing to line the stickers up with.
Hang on a minute.Unfortunately they have all clear perspex lenses so there is nothing to line the stickers up with.
All they need do is put the car on the light machine and the move the stickers around until it's in the right position and hey presto.
I think
