Help - CLK 200K - P4010 Error code

Our CLK is struggling with the engine management light on and this code coming up. I've had it checked and get the above code - I can't seem to get a clear answer as to what part is actually at vault - I've so far been told it could be oxygen sensors on the exhaust, the air mass meter or a check valve.
I'd like to try and get the right part 1st time to avoid wasting cash - has anyone had this before and do they know what part is was? - the car seems to have lost power since this has come on but is just about driveable.

is that not the engine code warning of a woefully underpowered car?

sorry, i did look to see if i could find what the warning number was but to no avail.

Sure it isn't P0410 Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction. 4010 seems really high.
