Mercedes Specialist - North London/Herts

Hi all,

DOes anyone know and used a good independent Mercedes specialist they can recommend in the North London or Hertfordshire area.

In particular, someone who is good with sunroofs will be useful.

The sunroof on my Dad's CLK has stopped working. The motor seems OK as I can hear it but it is not moving !

Thanks for the suggestion but no offence guys, but I can find Merc. specialists by googling or flicking through the yellow pages.

I am specifically looking for recommendations from personal experience, if anyone has any.

Have used prestige performance in St Albans for last few years. No complaints having regular servicing done on my 11 year old slk. Had A service + MOT for £290 inc VAT the other week - not sure how that compares with competition.

They seem competent and are always busy with lots of nice cars coming and going so I am happy enough with them. The staff turnover doesn't seem high either - same bloke has serviced my car for last few years.

The MAF sensor went on my car last summer and they fixed it next day for me. I was paranoid that they would be swapping bits randomly and cost me a fortune but they showed me the computer printout before and after showing car thought it was getting no air before replacement and was happy after replacement. They were ok discussing what was needed which I liked.

I'll carry on using them.

A&A merctech in hoddesdon always been very helpfull with my mercs, they even have genuine mb star diag. give them a try.

I have also used http://aamerctech.co.uk. I used to go to the dealership in Hertford, but the labour costs were becoming silly. Mertech were very reasonable in comparison and their staff seem to know mercs inside out.
