A friend's Dad recently had his 1996 SL600 machine polished and I've been meaning to put the photos up here for a while. It looks to be in rather good health. Doesn't half shift!
Clean out the leaves, cobwebs etc but don't clean the engine bay. Far far too many electrical bits and pieces, fuses and all manner of expensive nasties that do not like liquid or fluids of any kind.
Top of the range SL, one of the best-built Mercedes models from the era when Mercedes were in their pomp, in nice condition, with a V12 in it! What's not to like??
Hi bolide, I am new to the forum and am thinking of getting an older SL 500, so far I am advised that post 1993 cars are not so good as quality went downhill.
That is lovely. So much better looking than the current behemoth of an SL.
