Mercedes 2000 S320 stuck in park
Discussion
Need some help, any help please!!!
My cigarette lighter stopped working, so I thought a good place to start would be the fuse. The fuse layout card that is suppose to be with the tool kit is missing. So I decided to pull one fuse out at a time and check it, I found a blown fuse, changed it and the lighter now works, so I can play my ipod. Got in the car later, started it and tried to move it out of park, its stuck.
I have to assume that pulling fuses out one at a time in this car is a no no, the fuses I pulled were up to 15amps, I did not touch the larger fuses. the keys were not in the ignition.I pulled fuses out of the main fuse box under the bonnet and the other fuse box in the rear footwell
So I cannot move the car which is blocking my garage, which is stopping me taking out my other car......
I have ordered the fuse car from Mercedes for my car, I am now wondering if I actually put each fuse that I took out back in the right place.
Anybody have any ideas what I may have done? feeling pretty stupid at the moment and dont want to think about the cost of having the car put on a low loader and taken to a Mercedes garage.

If you are sure you have put the fuses back correctly then there is I believe a small hidden recessed button on the gear box in case it gets stuck in park.
Its on the panel where the lever is . you probably havent noticed it before . I think you need a thin screw driver or heavy paper clip to 'reset' it

Not sure if it applies to your car but ... try fuse 37 (15A) in the fuse box under the bonnet, the one with 5 relays in, possibly on the left when looking from the front of the car. I think it is the 4th one in from the far end of the box.
It is described as "Transmission Control" on the diagram I am looking at so might be the one?
