C180 Kompressor - advice wanted.
Discussion
Am thinking of buying one of these and would like a bit of help and advice , have had larger Mercs for years and would like to bring my travel costs down so reasoned that a smaller engine with a turbo would give me cheaper costs per mile ( unless ragging it ! ) what is the PH collectives views on this model ? What should I look out for.
I am looking at spending around 6K , dont mind high mileage with MB history .
Thanks in anticipation.

Kompressor = supercharger, no turbo. I had a 2006 model, driving was 75% town/25% motorway, rarely saw less than 30mpg, but rarely saw more than 35mpg. I'm not aware of any major issues with them, but expect if there are someone will be on in a minute to comment. Mine was a lovely drive, not fast but a nice place to be, relaxing, just enough poke not to be a horrible drive, and a great image IMO, classier than an A4 or 3 series.

I have recently swapped my BMW 320i 2.2, 6 cylinder for a 180 Kommpresor, both autos and so far I have been amazed by its performance, much livelier and fuel economy is better, bearing in mind that it has only done 1000 miles and not yet run in, that is if modern cars have to be run in.

My Current car is the C240 with 6 cylinders , sounds to me that the 180 will tick the boxes I need .G
