Factory collection and tour

OK some confusion over the collection from Stuttgart and factory tour option on new Mercs. A figure stuck in my head of £1000, possibly because of another thread on here where someone discussed it, but a Merc salesman today swore it was FOC. Clearly if you want to take someone else with you then it costs a fair bit (maybe thats where the £1000 came from), but on your todd you may as well go for it?

They pay for business class flights, hotel and meals, all transfers and ferry / Eurotunnel home. It's a great experience and the only real cost is the fuel to get home (although they give you a full tank but it didn't for very far in my car!)

Not sure where the £1000 came from as I took my girlfriend and it cost me an extra £400, which was predominately the cost of the business class flight for her.

I am definitely doing this if I take the plunge tomorrow! Well, mine won't be a C63 mores the pity, but an E or C 350CDi Sport, but still exciting times for me.
