Hi Guys, Iv actually ordered a new car and the CLS has to go.

I want a few bits of minor work done before selling, things like 2 wheel touch ups and a small bit of paint on the underside of the front bumper. Their not big issues but I want to sell the car quickly and for the best price. In other words I want her mint.

The dillema im having is where to sell it and how to prep it to ensure a fast sale. My plan was to get the car detailed (or promised to be detailed after the sale) and then leave it run on ebay for 7-10 days. Anyone tried this or have any advice on a simular selling experience.

I have been offered Part ex and had a quote of We buy any car etc, but their price is around £2k less than I really want for the car, and i dont believe the extras on the car are reflected in the price offered. I want to sell quickly as I dont want to be lumbered with two cars, but on the other hand - I dont want to be raped on selling (again lol).

Any tips/advice much appreciated.

TC.

Over the past 5-6 years I've sold all my cars on here. Put up a realistic asking price and it will sell quickly enough.

Curious about the details of you car though?

Very, very good in all honesty.

I think their one of the best looking 4 doors around and stand out (especially with the AMG kit) from the droves of C-classes that you see everywhere, they also make most look very "budget Mercedes". Inside is a very nice place to be, the car seems to drive its self almost - automatic everything. In fact when I had her, I kept missing junctions on the motorway just not realising the ground I was covering. Carries four in extreme comfort and at night, the mood lighting throughout the cabin makes it a very cosy place to be.

Performance wise, It really doesnt hang around for a large diesel car. Handles really well too, especially on the 285" P-Zeros fitted and in Sport II suspension mode. Around town then the comfort mode has to be set as the air suspension doesnt like the town pot holes too much, thats only when your down around 15mph mind.

Reliability wise, I had an electric window motor go which was replaced by Mercedes under warranty, and thats about it really in about 18-20 months ownership? Besides the two blow outs Iv suffered recentley, but thats more down to the tyres them selves (as verified by another Gallardo driver on here) rather than the car.

Overall its a superb car, and would definatley have a spot in my dream garage (in CL63 form), the only reason im selling tbh is that the business tax is a bit excessive on her (with a new price of £60k) and its just not exciting enough for me anymore. It takes the real fun out of driving as its such an easy car to drive...If I could justify her and a sports car on the side, i would be delighted! Unfortunatley I cant atm frown
