CLK 55 buying tips please

Afternoon all, I'm being tempted by a CLK 55 coupe (53/54 plate, around 50,000 miles) and wanted to pick the collective brains please. Are there any hidden dangers that I should be aware of (e.g. a requirement to spend lots of money at a specific mileage)? I've seen about four with similar mileages that has got me suspicious... Thanks in advance.
I've had mine for just over 3 years now, it's a 52 plate with 55k on it. Overall I've had very little trouble, and it drives now just as well as it did when I got it.
The things to look out for are mostly electrical gremlins. Basically check everything works, if anything doesn't knock off £500 as that's generally at least what things cost to mend. Check also that you don't get a clicking sound from behind the dash on startup, I've heard this is relatively common and needs the dash out to fix.
On mine the headlanp adjusters failed, plus I've recently had a problem with the engine fans stuck on which was expensive to rectify. Other than that it's been pretty solid.
I'd think about where you're going to get it looked after. In my expirience an independant specialist will get the jobs done better and at a sensible price on a car this age.
In terms of driving it's very quick in a straight line with a great noise and good brakes. Handling is fun but not as sharp as an e46 m3, ride is good. Fuel wise expect 25 mpg on the motorway, quite a bit less round town.
