Can the ESP be fully turned off on a 2002 SL55?

Yup. Rolling road mode, turns off all electronic aids, limiters, etc.

Don't do it on the road....

If i get it chipped and have the limiter taken off, can they set the ESP so it is fully off only when the ESP off button is pressed?

1. Yes.

2. don't know. TC is selectable, ESP is linked to ABS/EBS and the auto box, so in theory yes, but complex.
