Mercedes 190 Advise

Hello there!

My merc 190 is now making a horrible groaning sound when i turn the wheel
(it sounds like rubber on rubber) ive checked the springs and stuff like
that but no luck just wondering if anyone esle has had a similar experience
with this???

Almost certainly worn balljoints . Don't drive the car and replace the balljoints asap. You don't want to have them fail while you are driving

Parts are £13 each and your local MB independent garage will be able to do the job in a couple of hours

i replaced the n/s ball joint 2 months ago so it makes sense
ill order a new once tomorrow

you might want to check the Rubbers of the ARB.

I agree about ball joints. However, check the power steering fluid level. When it is low it makes an awful noise.
