Mercedes Benz Service History help please.

Hi,
I have a S600 Biturbo and i am trying to trace the service history.
The owners manual is missing.
I have orginal receipt etc for 95k pounds.
I have checked online with the MOT and the mileage corresponds to the Mots every year.
It has 67k miles on the clock.

I have one B service at 45k miles receipt thats it.
I have the service checker saying 2k till b service so its obviously had an A service inbetween.
The orginal owner was in top 200 wealthest people in UK so i doubt he paid 95k for the car and then never serviced it.

Is there anyway to check the service history without the owners manual and the stamps.
I mean if you break down do you have to show mercedes your owners manual

Unfortunately without the book and evidence of service history you're pretty stuck. Your only hope really is if you know the dealership the car was purchased from (sticker in the back window or keyring?) or get in touch with dealerships close to the previous owner's home, give them the reg number and ask if it's been in to them previously. Mercedes now use a "digital" service book which logs history at HQ in Milton Keynes but unforunately before this there was no way to check history aside from the traditional stamp check.

well from a quick look at that thread he's reporting spec and warranty work rather than service history. Both of these are readily available from merc's fdok system. It goes without saying that if mercedes are paying like they do with warranty repairs then they record it. Servicing is the customer's responsibility though so that's a different deal.

I may be wrong but i worked in a dealership for seven years and then ran an mb workshop in the middle east and we never recorded anything with the factory. The only time they'd know would be if there had been a mobilo recovery or repair in which case the factory would ensure everything was up to date. Thing is in that case recorded history is only up to date at that point, any further service history wouldn't be logged.

I tend to deal with Mercedes Stockport and Mercedes Leeds and despite being different franchises they appear to know what services have been done where.

Please provide me the chassis number, and ill get try to get all your service history, (as long as they are @ Mb dealers) should be fine.

Oh and it's called National Service database which every dealer has and can access, and is backed up at HQ.
(and ive been with MB for 4 yrs)

Did you get the Moorelands one?

Just phone Mercedes and give them the chassis number. You might need to email some sort of proof of ownership (e.g. V5) but they'll post you out a nice certificate with all the service history and the full spec of the car on nice Mercedes headed paper.

I rang my local dealer in chester and they had nothing. They were doing checks with the number plate though.

This car was bought in manchester and service was from huddersfield.

VIN is WDB 220176 2A 320150 2
engine number 275950-40-000824

reg is YJ52SZH
but it has 2 previous owners
from 2006 to 2010, BFC5V
from oct 2002 to 2006 1NM

No i got it at auction.

Original owner was Noel McKee the owner of carcraft worth around £150 million aparently
He got rid of it in 2006 when the new shape came out and bought another s600. Tesco check number plate :-}
The second owner had it with 6 other cars, as i saw his insurance document for 9k per annum fleet insurance for his motors.
Me at the end of the food chain get mint motor for the price of new corsa.

Do not worry that your car is older than DSB (Digital Service Book) as the service information will be available for all Mercedes, provided the vehicle has been serviced at a Mercedes main dealer.
