If it's a saloon I doubt it very much, if it's the estate then maybe as the bars fit across the existing rails that are integral to the car and the bars are often adjustable to a degree - however when searching bear in mind the 2006 is a W211 not W210.

The E-bay advert advertised it as an original Merc W210 roof rack but the guy said it came from his 2006 E220

A 2006 E-Class is a w211. I doubt it will fit.

Tony if you weren't in Germany you could pick up one of the two pairs of bars that we have at my parents house for their 1998 E-Class. I think they are still there!

Thanks for the offer but I need it next week for the snowboards. Also the prices over here on German E bay are really very good the last one sold for just over €10 I have my eye on the next one and it's only 20km away.

I bought OEM roof bars for a W210 estate and used it on my W202 estate just fine. Now using on a W211 estate. I had to make some minor adjustments as they were an inch or so too narrow for the 211.

So (if you are talking estates) roof bars that fit a W211 will also fit the W210 as they adjust down to fit a variety of widths.

If you are talking saloons I have no idea as I don't know how they are mounted

Yes. There's a fair amount of adjustment (2-3 inches each side). Plenty to narrow them down the inch or so you need.

Unfortunately it's a saloon, but I'm still the winning bid on E Bay at the moment so fingers crossed
