Recommendation for Merc Newcastle

I would like to recommend Mercedes-Benz of Newcastle upon Tyne.

I took my aged 320 TE there on Wednesday evening with a very noisy rear wheel bearing. This is a car they have never had before (although they have my SL three times a year) and I did not have an appointment. They changed both rear wheel bearings (they did the other one at my request), serviced the car and re-hung the exhaust. The 320 TE was returned to me today, washed inside and out. In the meantime, they gave me a C220 CDI estate (yuk) to run around in. They updated me several times during the short intervening period. The bill was a lot less than I expected.

As far as I am concerned, this is excellent. Sure, it was a bit more expensive than the independent who normally does the car, but it was worth it to have the job done immediately and to have a courtesy car to use in the meantime. My independent takes weeks and doesn't give me a loaner.

The main dealers get a bad press among enthusiats like us but I really cannot fault Mercedes-Benz of Newcastle: this is the latest in a long line of very satisfactory work they have done for me.

this ties in with a similarly great experience we have always enjoyed with Mercedes at Teesside ; above and beyond what you would expect .
In marked contrast , Merc Harrogate have been poor .

Merc orpington are very good,dartford are useless.
