Help Needed...ECU Reprogram..

Hi all - I have an 2002 A class (A160) that has been playing up recently - it intermittently refuses to start – it doesn’t turn or tick over at all – almost like the immobilizer has kicked in. it then fixes itself randomly after 10 minutes (or even overnight sometimes).
I replaced the battery (upon recommendation from the AA mechanic); since then the front windows don’t work – they jutter when going down – I am told the unit has to be reset.
The car is otherwise, perfectly sound.
Rather than take it to Mercedes, whom I fear will just give me a massive bill, can anyone recommend a good auto electrician to investigate & possibly reset the ECU. I am based in NW London.
Has anyone heard of http://www.turnerautomotive.co.uk? Found them on the internet but rather go with people’s recommendations.
The car is not worth much so I don’t want to chuck endless money at it.
Any thoughts?
