SL Roof Leak

just a couple of questions please will search tonight.

This is my second SL55, last one was a 2002 and the latest is a 2006 and they both seem to have the same problem. Why me!!!

Behind the both seats in the corners of the rear footwells are wet, if kneel on the drivers seat look into the back in the left hand corner is wet and the right on the passengers seat just below the little cubby boxes.

MB dealer did in the end fix the 02 but cost me a fortune and lost count of how many times it went in. As my new one is still under warranty any idea's what the cause could be?...

Also why is the second battery always "off line" when the car has sat for a few days.

Hi, firstly make sure the drain holes are clear. Open the boot and they are situated under the rear 1/4 windows each side.Pour water down to be certain.
Battery either needs a 2 day charge or replacing.

A mark said its most likely the water drains if water in that area, or the c-pillar seals can peel off in the lower corners also. with the battery fault, there is a battery control module software upgrade that can be done very quickly at a dealer. this unit may also hav had a run in with water, or it could jus be that it is a bit flat!
