Is this too cheap for a C32?
Discussion
Hi all
Having sold my car, I started looking at BM's, but now I have drifted away from these towards maybe a C32 AMG Saloon. In my searches, I came across this one for £7,200....

It looks a very good price, but is it too cheap / likely to be something wrong with it? It's a long long way from me, and I'm really not keen to go this far, but they are few and far between. I'm looking for mileage to be less than 75k. There is also a black 2002 for £7,250 on PH, but I got no reply from emailing this one, so I guess it's now sold. After these, there seems to be quite a jump to circa £9,000.
Any thoughts & comments welcome.
Thanks. Andy

I'm going to look at one this week. '03 Estate (04MY) in Silver with C55-style quad exhaust. Has 75,000 miles on it, 3 owners, FMBSH and up for £6,695 from a trader. I don't know what to expect but it looks spotless in the photographs.
I'd rather have an M3 or go back to the E39 M5 but insurance is almost double!

By double, what's the actual figure? If it's £300 vs £600, I'd rather drive the car I prefer...I'd rather have an M3 or go back to the E39 M5 but insurance is almost double!

That is annoying. Can't you wait until it's all been sorted out?
Even when the claims are settled in my favour, my premium won't drop by much as statistically I'm more likely to have an accident because I've been involved in a no-fault one. That's not the only reason for considering the AMG over the M-variants.u13rr1 said:

Well, in that case, make sure you get the exhaust system modified if you find it too quiet.

I'm considering a C32 next, what are running costs like? I really want a bit of a sleeper next and can't think of much better than one of these in my budget.
I've been shocked/surprised how much mine likes a drink
but such is the performance I guess hardly surprising as mine has been fitted with the pulley conversion & a re-map!I get 16-20 mpg was expecting mid 20s.Road tax is around £260 12 mths/serving/repairs seem reasonable if you use Independents, Insurance I pay £380 pr yr FC FNClaims.
