Thought this would be of interest, we all know there are cars which are over priced by a couple hundred quid, however I present here an example of a car that is 100% overpriced, yes that is right, this stealer are trying to sell a Panda 100hp for double its market value. It is a 56 reg on 30,000 miles, having seen the car in person I can state it is not in the best condition, the website states "£8495 LESS SCRAPPAGE OF £2000 - BALANCE £6495," That car is worth at most about £4500 meaning that they are trying to sell it for a 100% markup, and here it is. http://finance.autoexposure.co.uk/drilldown.cfm?Ac...

And bold tags apparently don't work in thread titles hehe

I'm a trader and have come accross this dealer's ads a few times while trying to judge the market. I don't think they are going to fool anyone, they were listing another car at the lower price ie £4495 but that was only if you had a px, the screen price was £6495. I have reported them to Auto Trader.

I've dealt with them in the past, for new cars and the odd one or two cars which are the correct price, they are pretty good, in the whole the service is good, its just the prices are a bit erm, hopeful.

I'm not saying they are doing anything inappropriate just that they are placing misleading ads on Auto Trader, it's bad enough with scammers, CAT D dealers and people listing mileages incorrectly without franchised dealers taking the piss

Yep I get what you mean. It is a shame though that they seem to be trying one on with regards to the price, was there a few weeks ago and they had a Grande Punto 1.9 Multijet Sporting, was pretty much the right price for the car and it was in brilliant condition, the salesman who we always deal with is a really nice bloke and all in all they are a good dealer, annoyingly their prices are stupid. I think the problem is that they probably bought the cars when the prices were higher, so of course they won't want to sell for a lower price. If someone could just make them see the error of their ways then they would do really well on used car sales, some of their stock is brilliant, I mean they've got an Impreza RA which is ready to take racing/rallying, brand new cobra bucket seats, rollcage, and 5 point harnesses. (I tried suggesting that to my mum, apparently a track prepped car isn't practical for her everyday needs. Although if we get snow this year she might see the error of her ways hehe
