Goooood Evening,

I was just wondering if the Panda is meant to have some kind of brake pad warning light?
My father has been driving the car for a long while, as I now have the BMW, and he told me last night that the brakes sounded a bit dodgy, and in a rush to get to London that evening I hopped in the car and drove down the drive and all I could hear was this crunching sound, which was obviously not great.

I didn't feel safe driving that to London so came back home from about a mile away and saw that the brake pads were so worn that they had made a groove in the disc itself. Obviously these need replacing as soon as possible, but if there is meant to be a warning light, and it didn't come on. Would I be able to get the pads done under warranty at the local Fiat dealership? As it would be a fault when the car first was built.

Any responses will be much appreciated as this needs to get sorted in the next couple of days.

Thanks

Ayman.

I don't think there's a warning light.

What did they say on the last service about wear?

I'd be amazed if you can get pads done under warranty whether there should have been a warning light or not, unless the car has very low mileage (less than 10k)

Hi,

They didn't say anything about wear on the last service, which was in March at 12,000ish miles. Now it's at nearly 20,000.

So the best idea is to go to Euro's and get some pads and discs then?

Thanks
