Can anyone tell me a bit about it? I've tried wikipedia and a few Google searches but not really found much out about it. I believe it's called Q4 and isn't a Haldex based system. But apart from that I don't really know anything else about it.

I'd like to know how it's configured, diff types, power split and any other controls it has.

I'd also be keen to know what vehicles it's offered or been available on.

Cheers smile

Alfa have used a number of AWD systems, Wrinx will be able to tell you about the one in the Matta, the 33 P4 used an electronic clutch to engage the rear wheels.
The 155 Q4 (First use of the Q4 name) used the Integrale system, then the 156 and onwards is like this https://students.hti.bfh.ch/cames1/q4/ (Its in German but I've got some info in English somewhere)

If you want more info about the 155 Q4 system pop along to www.berlinasportivo.com

Offered on the 156 Crosswagon and apparently the Sportwagon, never the saloon, and then the 159 family including the Brera & Spider.

I think it's a Torsen system but I am no mechanic.

Talking about the 155 Q4 Cloverleaf using the Integrale 4WD system, I assumed that this would be the older front-biased one from the Integrale 8v, however if a 155 Q4 is what you're after it might be worth investigating further on which system that they actually used as the Lancia Dedra Integrale (Note: Dedra, NOT Delta) was also rumoured to have the Delta Integrale drivetrain.... where, in reality, it has an inferior 4WD system (completely different part number and a fraction of the cost of the Delta's).

Nope the Q4 has a rear biased torque split.

And as for the Dedra, the only difference here is that they use an electrically lockable rear diff as opposed to the Torsen in the Q4 and Integrale.

This article is quite good, from when the 156 Q4 was launched.
The same system was used on the 159 and Brera.

Would it be possible to build a RWD 156 Sportwagon using a 4WD 156 as a base?
Has anyone ever done this?
