egr blank.....again!

wondered if any of you guys could help me...ive posted on alfa owner to no avail.

blanked off my egr valve a few weeks back (fully working)

came up with the motor control error as expected.

went down to angel to get the egr 'mapped out' which they did.

fault light came on again after four starts, got the error read and its reading p1237 'secondary pump circuit' or 'air quantity'

angel came up again to confirm that the egr had been deactivated, which it had.

cleared the code and its come back.

i have checked the car over for all possible causes, boostpipe etc etc, and nothing.

car drives brilliantly, just wondering how to get rid of that annoying light!

is there an imblance in the air now? if so what reads it? would it be MAP? as the inlet is after MAF?

puzzled.

Diesel i take it?? Is the boost sensor in the manifold clean? This can block with sludge and cause faults!

MAP sensor?

havent had a look, wasnt bringing fault codes up before thats why im at a loss.
