Nice little car. Naff steering (ePAS) but gutsy in 155 Veloce or 170 QV form. DNA is a gimmick (does nothing acceptable).
Only known issues of any significance are strut top bearings & steering column motors, both shared with the Punto & Corsa.
The latter is pricey but will be under warranty, the former will be cheap.
Interior plastics on doors & lower dash are akin to a late 80's Escort but it's well built & put together.
Let her drive one.....

I found the 155 a bit 'on or off' in terms of power delivery - fine for some, but not for me. The 120 delivered its power a bit more progressively and was all the better for it. All imho of course - depends what you are looking for but a test drive well worthwhile. No idea what the newer multi-air engines are like. Both seemed well put together. Ended up getting a used GT instead but I wouldn't be unhappy with a Mito.
I have a 135bhp MultiAir. Fantastic engine, very torquey and no turbo lag. Ride is firm but acceptable. Steering, and the way it works with the DNA switch, is the worst aspect of the car. In Normal the steering is ok if a bit lifeless, but the throttle is sluggish. In Dynamic, the throttle response is instant, but the steering is artificially heavy - on the motorway you have to constantly fight it to make small corrections, and it makes my wrists ache. But overall it's a good, fun car.

I have a QV 170 and although I can accept your feelings on the DNA switch, why don't you use 'N' on the motorway? Ok the throttle is sluggish, but that doesn't really matter on the motorway at a constant speed and you get better mpg too (not as much turbo boost). Slide it into 'D' when you get to the twisty stuff!Yeah, sure, I agree completely - I use N pretty much all the time now. Just a shame that the D mode messes up the steering that way, but as you say it's fine for a short while in town or twisty stuff. Frankly if they just gave us the sporty throttle map & decent steering in one setting, then binned the silly DNA switch, it would be better for it.
