Abarth insurance
Discussion
Im a newbie to all this so forgive me if this has already been discussed, but im looking to get an abarth next year when my first years NCB comes into effect. After doing some preliminary research regarding prices ive encountered a slight issue. when i put the cars details into the comparison engine it doesnt seem to recognise that abarths exist, instead it just keeps coming up with fiat 500 sport e.g. when i put an abarth number plate in it finds the car and but says its a 500 sport. Does this matter? does this mean that the quotes im getting arent actually for the abarth?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

The 500 Sport is a totally different model. Are you putting in Fiat as the manufacturer?
You need to select Abarth as the manufacturer.
i was putting in an abarth number plate because abarth wasnt listed as a manufacturer. Just found abarth though under fiat though. Theyve quoted me 2600 pounds!!! Compare that with 885 quid for my 1.2 pop looks like i might not be getting one after all You need to select Abarth as the manufacturer.

I feel for you. I traded in my Fiat 500 1.2 Sport for an Abarth 500c. In an instant, double the horsepower and double the price but the insurance increase wasn't too bad in the context of my 7 years NCD.
I hope things get sorted for you.
yeh cheers mate, try insuring an abarth when your 21 with 1 years NCB ha. Did a bit more tweaking and got it down to 2300 but still painful, one of the joys of being in the military is high insurance premiums. Ill probably just bite the bullet and get one anyway.I hope things get sorted for you.
