Morning all,
Currently I have 215 width tyres on my Alfa 147 Ducati Corse but these are incredibly expensive, for example Pirelli P Zero Neros (original tyres on car) are currently on Blackcirlces for £197.89 each, whereas the same tyre on a 225 width is £107.78 each! Also, the choices of tyres are limited due to the unusual size.
My car's brochure actually advertises the car as using 225 tyres anyway but all Ducati Corses I've seen are on 215s, not sure what that's about.
Would fitting my car with 225 width tyres (all round) cause any problems i.e. rubbing?
Any thoughts are welcome...
Thanks

You should have no problems fitting 225's on the front but I am not sure about the back.
I had 18" alloys with 225's on the back of my pre-facelift 147 and that rubbed on the outside arch. but only very very slightly. My mechanic gently folded the inner edge back on the inside and that sorted all the issues (no damage

Oh I hadn't thought about that. There's a fair bit of clearance between the tyre and the arch.I had 18" alloys with 225's on the back of my pre-facelift 147 and that rubbed on the outside arch. but only very very slightly. I think I'm just gonna have to give it a go and hope for the best...
Thanks for your input though. In the next few months I'm getting the wheels refurbed and this is when I'd fit the 225 width tyres. Once that is all done, I'll post pics up.
