Fiat X1/9 - unleaded?

Hi, my retired neighbour has just got her X1/9 back on the road after a long break and can't remember if it needs the lead substitute in the petrol or not. Can anyone help please? It's an '84 1500 VS with 24k on the clock and she's had it from new. Drive's very nicely though it's a bit small for me. Thanks, Steve.
