gtv wheel spacers
Discussion
Your original wheels have an inset of 40.5mm - which is the distance from the centreline to the mounting face of the wheel. Your new wheels have a lesser inset of 30.5mm, therefore they'll protrude by 10mm more than the original ones. Also, the new wheels are 1/2" wider so will increase the amount they protrude by another 6mm (1/2 of the 1/2").
So the new wheels will protrude 16.5mm further out than your original wheels. This will decrease the clearance to the bodywork, and you should check that they don't rub.
Increasing the offset further by adding spacers will probably increase tramlining and also decrease bodywork clearance further so are best avoided - unless the new wheels cause problems with brake caliper clearance issues, in which case spacers might be required to move the wheel even further out, and away from the brakes.
Best trial fit them to check.
Edited: BTW, I thought std offset is 35mm?
